PINT FOR A PINT BLOOD DRIVE

Las Vegas, Nevada – United Blood Services continues to build strong partnerships with local heroes to supply our hospitals with the blood our patients need such as Gordon Biersch who sponsors two blood drives per year.

New and current blood donors are encouraged to give the “gift of life” in support of a continuous state-wide appeal for all blood types. Think about the people who receive the blood you give; every one of them is someone’s son or daughter and they are bound to be someone’s friend. You save lives, but you also save families and friendships.

“Roll up your sleeve” and give blood:

Gordon Biersch Pint for a Pint Blood Drive will be held on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bloodmobile parked at 3987 Paradise Road. Donors are encouraged to make an appointment by logging onto www.bloodhero.com – Sponsor code: gordonbiersch or call 702.562.2166. Walk-ins are always welcome.

All donors will receive a PINT FOR A PINT voucher for any Gordon Biersch Specialty Beer and one voucher for 2 tickets for the “V” Ultimate Variety Show at Planet Hollywood.

Find the hero in you. Give blood 3 times a year.

Eligible donors must be at least 17 years-old and weigh at least 110 pounds. All donors must feel well the day of their blood donation and present photo identification. Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of water starting a few days prior to their donation, eat a good meal before donating blood and avoid caffeinated drinks on the day of their donation.
